Karunya theeram is a shelter and safe haven for the abandoned teens, adolescents and destitute senior women citizens.
Inspired by this Bible verse, Karunyatheeram Balbhavan was founded by a bunch of like minded, philanthropists under the leadership of Sr.Teresa Puthuparambil and under the patronage of the Bishop and Clergy of the Diocese of Quilon as a non-profit charitable trust registered under 232/2001 section 41(1) of the Juvenile Justice (care and protection of children) Act,2015 of the Government of Kerala on 5/8/2001.

Karunya theeram as the name indicates is a shore of mercy for abandoned children and senior lady citizens in the state. A haven of love and hope for them.
