Hurricanes do not blow out all lamps in its path.one or two survives its wrath. Sr.Teresa is one such lamp surviving and shedding light in pitch darkness. Sr.Teresa with her persevering spirit and zeal akin to that of a missionary devoted her life to the children under her care. Karunyatheeram whose gates she opened in 2001 is a family of love trust and hope for all the abandoned and orphaned children coming from all across the social fabric of the state. The children fondly call her ‘mummy’
Her vision is vivid and the mission is that of a dedicated missionary shedding light to brighten up the lives of 100s of children and destitute women.

Karunya theeram as the name indicates is a shore of mercy for abandoned children and senior lady citizens in the state. A haven of love and hope for them.
