“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and lean of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”
Karunyatheeram as the name indicates is a shore of mercy for abandoned children and senior lady citizens in the state. A haven of love and hope for them. They are given shelter and loving care to forget their traumatic past and help them to live a peaceful and hassle free life. Children are taken care of, given decent education, career training, to build a decent career in this competitive world. Sr.Teresa the founder and the Managing Trustee of the Karunyatheeram charitable Trust is a loving mummy for all the inmates. Within the last two decades after its inception, Karunyatheeram could give motherly love and a decent career to hundreds of children. Some of the inmates got decent employment, four of the girl inmates got married, some others returned to homes, one of them heeded to the spiritual vocation become a nun. Karunyatheeram operates as a charitable institution without any Govt. support but supported by philanthropists across the world, by their voluntary contributions and above all by the protecting and providing hands of the Almighty.
Isn’t to share your bread with the hungry, to bring the poor and homeless into your home, to clothe the naked when you see him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?( Isaiah 58:7 )
We do have a social responsibility to our less fortunate brethren
Karunyatheeram welcome you and look upto you to join hands with us to fulfill our social obligation.
